ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP:
for the February 19/20 Bulletin
Placing leftovers in a moisture tight container can help the efficiency of a refrigerator. When water molecules escape from food or beverages into the air within a refrigerator, it increases the humidity of the interior which increases the amount of energy it takes to cool the system.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP: Creation Care Tips
for the February 26/27 Bulletin
It is not too early to start seeds indoors for some garden plants. Tomatoes especially should be planted in seed pots by the very end of February in order to get them to bloom early and produce their fruit by late July.

Mary Immaculate, our Mother and our Patroness,
we ask you to intercede for us with your Son,
as you did at the wedding in Cana.
Pray for us, loving Mother,
and gain for our diocese, our nation and our world,
for our families and loved ones,
the protection of your Maternal mantle from this dreaded virus.
In this time of trial and testing,
teach all of us to love one another and to be patient and kind.
Help us to bring the peace and healing Presence of Jesus to our land and to our hearts.
We come to you with confidence,
knowing that you are our compassionate mother,
health of the sick and cause of our joy.
Keep us in the embrace of your arms,
Help us always to know the love of your Son, Jesus our Lord.

ON OUR KNEES PRAYER CAMPAIGN: United in prayer for the Dobbs Supreme Court Case
October 22 - June 22 all are asked to pray for the protection of life in our nation.
Background: January 22, 1973: Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision began the era of abortion on demand in the USA.
• 2018: Mississippi passed a law protecting unborn children after 15 weeks of gestation, when the baby has a heartbeat, eyes that open, ears that hear, and can move and kick. The law was challenged and the case, known as Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, is being heard by the Supreme Court.
• Dobbs v Jackson is a landmark case that could potentially overturn the decision of Roe v Wade. The possibility for future laws protecting the unborn hangs in the balance.
• December 1, 2021: oral arguments for the case were heard. A decision is expected in June 2022. More information at www.prayfordobbs.com
